Dependants Of Tier 1 PSW Migrant
A Tier 1 PSW Migrant is permitted to sponosr his dependants (children under 18 years of age, or your husband, wife, civil partner, or unmarried or same-sex partner) to join him in the UK if the dependents are living abroad.
If the dependents are already in the UK, they will be able to apply for dependant visa along with the main applicant as long as they have dependant visa and are already living in the UK as dependant of the main applicant. Those dependants who are not on dependent visa (dependent of the main applicant) will not be able to switch to Tier 1 PSW Dependant visa from inside the UK and will have to leave the UK to apply from their country of nationality. A UK born child of the Tier 1 PSW Migrant can apply for dependant visa from inside the UK and will not have to leave the UK to apply for PBS dependant visa from abroad.
The amount of funds for maintenance required for the application of the dependent will depend on whether or not the dependant is applying at the same time as the main applicant. For dependants who are not applying at the same time as the main applicant, the amount of funds required will depend upon whether or not the main applicant has already resided in the UK for at least 12 months.
