A person who has previously been granted leave to enter or leave to remain as a parent of a British child to exercise his right of access to the child can apply for extension of stay before the expiry of his leave to remain.

Application is made to the Home Office, UKBA using application form FLR (O) and the application will be successful as long as the circumstances which justified initial leave to enter or leave to remain to exercise right of access have not changed adversely.

If the application is successful, the application will be granted an extension of stay for a further period of 30 months.
